Aerial Mapping & Photogrammetry
Measurable, GPS-accurate maps, 3D models, and point clouds that line up with your design drawings and GIS.
Each flight produces a georeferenced orthomosaic of the whole site, stitched from hundreds of overlapping photos. Every map and model is tied to real-world coordinates, so distances, areas, elevations, and volumes can be measured directly, and each flight lines up with the last.
The same imagery produces a dense point cloud of millions of measured points, along with a surface model, textured 3D model, and contours. They're ready for grade checks, drainage review, and existing-conditions work in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or other CAD software.
Design versus built. Send your site plan, grading plan, or CAD files. GDI lays them over the current orthomosaic, surface model, or point cloud, so you can see where the work in the field matches the design and catch where it doesn't before it gets built over.
GIS-ready. Deliverables come in standard GIS and CAD formats with the project's coordinate system defined, so they load straight into ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, or your CAD platform.
Georeferenced and GPS-accurate. Every map, model, and point cloud is georeferenced and positioned to GPS accuracy, so it sits in real-world coordinates and lines up flight after flight. When a project calls for survey-level precision, ground control points (GCPs) tie the data directly to the site's survey control.
Historic preservation. Measurable 3D models, orthomosaics, and detailed photo sets document existing conditions on historic buildings, giving owners, architects, and contractors an accurate base for preservation, repair, and renovation.
LiDAR on request. For dense vegetation or survey-sensitive work, LiDAR capture is available through equipment partners and scoped per project.
